viSozial
l our philosophy
viSozial operates in South America with representatives in Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.
Despite having our presence dispersed across so many countries, we feel united as one uniform organisation.
Our engagement is voluntary and we do it because we live and work on site.
Being integrated into the respective community gives us more opportunity to work on behalf of human rights, education, health and environment. It also means we are able to maintain personal contact with our partners, which is the basis for a long-term working relationship.
viSozial finances the projects through the following donations:- God parenthood
- online donations
- donations from viventura travel participants
For each person who books a tour with viventura, 30 euros is donated to viSozial)
viSozial core working points
With our project work we want to promote three types of sustainable development - economy, ecology and culture.
viSozial supports schools in the underprivileged regions of South America, to offer children the possibility of receiving a solid education. It is also of importance to us to offer adult education.
We promote health projects which target the improvement of health in underprivileged regions.
viSozial promotes the environment in two ways. On one hand, we support a reforestation project which is financed from the donations of the viventura travel participants. Apart from that we also concentrate on environmental education, because we believe that sustainable environmental protection cannot be achieved without strong environmental consciousness in the local community.
viSozial consults viventura regarding environmental standards in underprivileged regions of South America.
For several years viventura has pursued a form of community-based tourism where the tour concept is designed with the support of the local community. The idea is to integrate some of the local population as part of the decision making process when planning the interaction between tourists and the environment.
The results have been fantastic because the local communities have increased their income through services in accommodation, gastronomy, and sales of artefacts.
Through this unique partnership, it is possible for viSozial to transmit valuable practical knowledge to the local community concerning specific characteristics of the international travel market.
In short, we can use tourism as an instrument of sustainable development.
